In New York City….

I was walking back from the movies this night and I happened to take a stroll around the city. Whoever turned the phrased “the city that never sleeps” was pretty accurate in their description of this place. Something interesting that intrigued my mind and made me ponder a thought in the back of my head was when I glanced at a half moon that was rising in the night sky. Its yellow tinted color made me think that the smog and industrial created crap made the moon shine the brown yellow tint it did. But then it got me wondering. Got me wondering if my friends and family in California can even see the night sky, or even the moon in fact. Have the fires burned so long and so high that all they can see is a thick cloud of smoke?

Also on this night I noticed another aspect of the city that sparked my interests. The fact that this city seems dark, luminous and full of danger, tensions are always high around here, if not seen it is then felt everywhere in the shadows and even on well lit streets. But there is one thing that made me think that the this city is like a man with a thug like face but has a soft hearted interior, and that was when I was passing by an asian massage parlor closed for the night. It was just a quick glance but I saw a man holding up his computer with a web cam attached to it. On the screen was a video footage of his child and the joy on his face as well as the woman behind him made me think there are people who are happy in this dreary depressing, busy city. Well anyways this was just something I was swishing around my head and this was once again me rambling about the city.
